No, you do not need to stop your PPI (proton pump inhibitor) to start this program - and in fact, I don’t recommend it.
I’m not a licensed prescribing doctor, and I legally cannot advise you to stop any medication. What I can do is guide you through the root-cause healing process so your reflux symptoms become manageable and ideally, eliminated over time.
Here’s how we approach it:
You’ll stay on your PPI at the beginning of the program to keep symptoms stable while your body starts to heal. Then, once your reflux is fully under control through diet, supplements, and lifestyle shifts, you can work with your doctor to slowly wean off the medication if that’s right for you.
